Spring Concert Information
Date: Monday, May 7th
Location: High School Auditorium, put your cases in the HS band room
Time: Concert time is 6:30pm, Call time is 6:20pm in the band room with instrument and music.
Dress: Please dress nicely, no jeans or t-shirts/shirts with writing on it.
Other performers: 5th grade band plays first. They should stay to hear the 6th graders. 6th graders are also welcome to stay and hear the 7th and 8th grade at 7:30pm.
Practice: Please make sure that your child is practicing daily so we have a great concert! There are recordings of the pieces online at www.springlakebands.org under Bands/Fifth Grade Band.
Rehearsals : We will have FULL BAND REHEARSALS on Friday, May 4 and Monday, May 7. Please make sure your child has his/her instrument and is ready to go!

Fifth Grade Band Rotation
We had a change in the rotation since the open house last week. It was communicated via the main office and it looks like everyone got the memo! Great first week of band so far…tomorrow is trumpets and trombones.
The band rotation looks like this due to the high numbers:
Flutes come to band on Tuesday, Thursday and every other Friday
Clarinets come to band on Tuesday, Thursday and every other Friday
Trumpets come to band on Monday, Wednesday and every other Friday
Trombones come to band on Monday, Wednesday and every other Friday
Percussion comes to band on Monday, Thursday and every other Friday
The first Friday for Trumpets and Trombones is September 23rd.
The first Friday for Flutes, Clarinets and Percussion is September 30th.
