Here’s the handout that went home on Tuesday, September 7. EVERY fifth grader needs to return it as soon as possible.

Fifth Grade Band Spring Concert Information
Date: Monday, May 10th
Location: High School Auditorium, put your cases in the HS band room
Time: 7:00pm, be on stage with instrument and music by 6:45pm, percussion arrive at 6:30pm
Dress: Please dress nicely, no jeans, t-shirts or shirts with writing on it.
Other performers: 6-8th grade bands. Fifth Graders need to stay until the end of the concert so they can
hear the other bands perform. It won’t be a long concert!
Practice: Please make sure that your students are practicing daily so we have a great concert! There are recordings of the first three pieces online at www.springlakebands.org under Middle School.
Flute, Clarinet and Saxophone Lessons
Karen Burek (flute) and Sondra Cross (clarinet and saxophone) are now teaching private lessons at Spring Lake on Tuesdays. If you are interested in a time either before or afterschool, please email a band director for contact information. Private lessons are easily the best way to become a better musician and we are very fortunate to have them teaching here at the school.
Spring Concert
The Spring Band Concert is on Monday, May 10 at the SLHS Auditorium. May 3 was published in a few places but is wrong.
