Here is the current band list. Numbers and balance look very good so far but we did have an abundance of percussion so priority was given to those with piano experience who tested well. The password to the above list was emailed out from the IS office.

As far as renting an instrument goes, we recommend an online rental at www.meyer-music.com. They will be delivered to band next week if you order online. If you buy a used instrument, please have it checked over at a music store. We also STRONGLY discourage low cost instruments from Amazon, WalMart, etc. They often do not play well and even if they do play, they break very quickly and are not repairable. If you have questions about an instrument, contact the band directors. You can’t go wrong renting from Meyer. West Michigan Band Instruments in Grand Rapids is another source for rental.
Flutes, Clarinets and Percussion will start on Monday, September 11 and Trumpets and Trombones will start on Tuesday, September 12. It would be nice if all students had instruments and book on those days (Meyer should get them here if you order) but don’t stress too much if they don’t have it. Just get it as soon as you can.
